Trust is layered, not decorative

What verification means

Every firm on the marketplace is verified before it can receive a brief. Verification is separated into distinct layers, so a client can see what has and has not been checked - and so a listing is never mistaken for a blank cheque.

A verification desk: a certificate checked against the register on screen, with the layers of the check ticked off down the wall.

The layers we check

Business existence

That the firm is a real, registered business - verified from registry or formation evidence, refreshed periodically.

Professional standing

Where a service is reserved or regulated, that the firm holds the licence, practising certificate or professional-body standing required - checked at least on expiry or annually.

Jurisdiction capability

That the firm can actually deliver in the country claimed - through office, practising rights, an authorised correspondent route or a defensible delivery model.

References & track record

Credible references or evidence of completed work, appropriate to confidentiality and reviewed on a risk basis.

Membership status

Whether the firm is a Basic or Membership of the Moeletsi Network is a commercial status, never a quality grade. Every member firm sits on one equal tier, and membership alone never decides who receives a brief.

What verification is not. Verification reduces discovery risk. It is not a guarantee of a professional outcome. Each firm remains independently responsible for the work it contracts to deliver, and professional-service complaints may also involve the firm regulator or professional body. Membership is not accreditation.
